A few years back I made this macrame hood or capelet of some kind. It was inspired by the Skjoldehamn Saami hood finding. It was preseved so good, you can actually tell what kind of fabric, stitching and decorative details it had. Mine hood is of course only loosely inspired, people didn't macrame at that time! Or maybe they did braid loose ends of their textiles but it didn't had any name. I took the general shape and method of construction and covered it with intricate macrame design. I love how it turned out and how unique and whimsy it is. It took me about 20 hours to complete the project. I am wearing vintage woolen skirt WITH POCKETS, second hand leather boots and second  hand woolen sweater in cute autumn colours.
